While Khulna Agricultural University (KAU) has established a strong foundation through its diverse undergraduate offerings, we are currently in the advanced stages of developing our Postgraduate Research Framework.
The university intends to launch specialized Master of Science (MS) degrees in the near future. These programs are being designed to meet global academic standards while addressing the specific agricultural and environmental challenges of the South-Western coastal region of Bangladesh.
Our Vision for Graduate Studies

Climate-Smart Agriculture: Developing resilient crop varieties for saline-prone areas.
Blue Economy: Advanced research in marine fisheries and sustainable aquaculture.
Technological Integration: Applying AI, GIS, and Remote Sensing in farm management.
One Health Approach: Bridging the gap between animal health, human health, and the environment.

Following our departmental structure, the university plans to offer postgraduate specializations across our five core faculties:
Microbiology, Parasitology, Animal Nutrition, Medicine, Surgery, and Theriogenology.
Fisheries & Ocean Sciences
Aquaculture, Oceanography, Fish Health Management, and Fishery Resources Conservation.

Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness & Marketing, and Agricultural Finance.
Ag-Engineering & Tech
Irrigation & Water Management, Farm Power & Machinery, and Post-Harvest Technology.
Research Facilities & Infrastructure
To support our future graduate scholars, KAU is currently expanding its research infrastructure, including:
Central Laboratory Complex: Equipped with high-precision analytical instruments for molecular and biochemical research.
Experimental Research Farms: On-campus and off-campus field sites for crop and livestock trials.
Digital Research Library: Providing access to international journals, e-books, and global agricultural databases.
Collaborative Partnerships: Establishing MoUs with national and international research organizations (such as BARI, BRRI, and BFRI).
Information for Prospective Students
When will admissions open? The formal announcement regarding the first intake for the MS programs will be published in national dailies and on this website. We are currently finalizing the curriculum approval process with the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Eligibility Preview: Generally, applicants will require a relevant Bachelor’s degree (Level 6) with a strong academic record (CGPA) from a recognized university.
